Slide Rule Info
The ECT Calculator is an updated version of a vintage slide rule that has been used for decades in ECT to perform analog calculations of various eddy current test parameters. The ECT calculator can be used as a starting point to determine approximate test parameters such as frequency selection, depth of penetration, separation angle etc. Alternatively, the ECT calculator can be used to confirm calculations made from using mathematical formulas. The ECT Calculator can also quickly determine F90 frequency for surface and tube testing. Eddy current expert Edward Korkowski is a huge fan of the slide rule calculator.
What's new with this version?
This version of the ECT Calculator has been UPDATED to make the calculator easier to use and understand. Valuable technical figures and images were added to help the user understand the calculations and parameters. Instructions on using the calculator have also been improved.
